But Hobby Lobby (my favorite store. Well, it's in the top 4 behind Target, TJ Maxx, and Gap outlet) has decided that I need to start preparing. Preparing for the crisp autumn days that are ahead.

Then after 2 aisles of fall decor, I came upon this:
Christmas ribbon. And there were more aisles being cleared out of garden decor to make way for much more Christmas. Who buys Christmas decor now?!I love Christmas. In December. And November. And maybe even October. But I tend to be sort of "scroogey" about Christmas in June!
Anyway, onto more summery things, like this pineapple that is an absolute necessity for my home. I want it, I need it, and yet, somehow I walked away. My yearly garage sale is Saturday, so maybe if I get rid of enough old junk, I can bring in some new junk like this pineapple.

I almost don't beleive it, even though I saw the pictures to prove it. Christmas items for sale in JUNE?! That's just wrong. The economy must really need a boost if retailers are already pushing Christmas goods on us!
Lovin' the pineapple! Yeah...I can't even think about Christmas until...like Dec. 24th.
I love Christmas. I buy Christmas gifts all year long (well, I buy all kinds of gifts all year long). And, though I don't specifically put on a Christmas CD, I do have Christmas music playing occaisionally when iTunes is on shuffle mode. And, it doesn't bother me to see Christmas stuff on the shelves in September, because I really hate Halloween and wish I never had to see that stuff at all.
So now that I've said all that - even I think Christmas stuff for sale in June is insane.
UGH! Now I don't want to go into HL for fear of seeing Christmas. I'm barely over last year. That said, I have been making gifts since January and I do have my gift list all made out and budgeted (control freak here), but decorating? UGH!
Get outta town...is that stuff really out already...I have not been by Hobby Lobby in a couple of weeks....Amazing !!
Oh, I do love that little pineapple. But I applaud your resolve to rid yourself of things before you bring more in!!!
I agree, seeing that Christmas stuff is just too much. Time goes by fast enough, we need to savor the moment and not be rushed through the loveliness of summer.

Ok I want that pineapple!!! It doesn't even match anything in my house but I NEED it!! And about Christmas in June, sadly, I know several people (wink) who would definitely buy those things all year! I promise I am not one of them though:)
I totally agree!!! That makes me nervous and anxious.......I like to see what is good to spend my money on for the present...not so much 7 months away!!!
Okay, you need to get your shoes on and get back to the store for that pineapple....too cute, and I'm sure you deserve it...

Wow! Christmas stuff in June! That's crazy. I love Christmas but it kind of takes away some of the joy of Christmas decorating when you see it all year. Just hope we don't start hearing Christmas music coming over the radio.

I can't stand to see fall or Christmas decor in the Summer months......I refuse to look. I refuse to hurry my summer.
